Every big project is more manageable when broken down into steps. If you want to, we can get into the nitty-gritty details brainstorming who will do what. This may involve some delegating and boundary work, both of which can be tough, but necessary. You and your partner are a team, so you are both welcome! Why I’m passionate about weddings….
I have been delighted by weddings ever since I was a 5 year-old flower girl who thought it was my own wedding to the ring bearer. Growing up, my friends and I would have “wedding planning parties” and cut out pictures for our dream wedding portfolios. I have been a bridesmaid 6 times (and I love it and have been so honored every time), have sung in 11 weddings, and helped out at several others in various ways (cake cutting, decorations, food and drink service, etc). I love it all! My husband and I planned our own wedding. We were able to enjoy the process together, which also involved combining our families of very different faith traditions. I’m happy to report there was no drama at all to my knowledge, and it was the best day of our lives!
All that to say, I’ve been around enough weddings to see them bring out some of the best and the worst in people. It has broken my heart to see many brides not have the support they desire, or to end up at the wedding day so exhausted that they can’t enjoy it fully. I deeply desire to help solve those problems.
